A life long interest in movement and body mechanics through yoga, dance, sport, and the arts has led me in helping others understand a deeper sense of self; to heal and to learn how to self heal.
I am a Massachusetts Certified Massage Therapist and Spa Technician, Yoga Trapeze Instructor, trained in Somatic Mechanical Engineering and Reiki and hold a BFA from the Corcoran College of Art and Design.
A creative and intuitive approach as an artist and educator has lent a hand in my approach as a somatic therapist. My background in figurative clay sculpture and painting illustrates a long standing interest in the human form; manual techniques are used to access and respond to tissue imbalance as are applied to shape clay.
With the help of a knowledgeable and understanding massage therapist, one is able to bridge the gap between chronic pain, stress, injuries and fear of movement, to finding tools within to let go of habitual tension, fatigue, and myofibril and myofascial issues caused by injury, misalignment and repetitive use.
It’s always an honor to assist others along in their path towards healing and optimal functioning.
